Hello,Bonjour!
Hi there! My name is Melissa Suzuki and the founder of Online Scholars. I am a certified Canadian teacher and offering online tutoring lessons. I spent the last 7 years teaching middle school and wanted to extend my online learning support. I currently work as a substitute teacher (K-12) in various school across British Columbia and Ontario. I am offering one-on-one tutoring lessons to any students across Canada. This includes: subject specific support, test prep, or homeschooling. I can't wait to e-meet you!
My Story
I have a passion for educating my students and helping them achieve their academic goals. Whether it is learning algebra for the first time, writing an essay, or practicing your French vocabulary, I am adaptable and qualified to teach any subject you need! Most importantly, I am here to offer a safe, fun and supportive learning environment.
Education

In 2012, I received a Bachelors of Arts from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, followed by a Teaching Degree at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. Additionally, I studied in Tours, France, in order to gain more experience teaching French as a Second Language (FSL). In 2019, I returned to school to complete a Master of Environmental Education and Communication at Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia.
